Looking at the 4 hour chart it looked as if this pair had fallen asleep because it had traded in a very narrow range between last Friday afternoon and Thursday morning, and it actually broke downwards early yesterday morning.

In this particular instance I noticed that the GBP/USD pair had traded in a tiny range of just 27 points in these 8 hours, so I should really have been looking to go long.
This is a fruitless exercise, so I was looking to go short on a downward EMA crossover on the 4 hour chart.
